Cookie Policy — Misenpai

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and improve your experience.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.

• Session cookie — maintains your login session
• XSRF token — protects against cross-site request forgery

2.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization.

• Theme preference — remembers your light/dark mode choice
• Language preference — stores your language setting

2.3 Analytics Cookies

These cookies and similar technologies help us understand how visitors interact with the Service. They are active for all visitors.

• Page views and navigation — which pages are visited most
• Session duration — how long users stay on the site
• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) — page views and usage statistics; sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA.
• Session recordings (Sentry Session Replay, self-hosted on our own servers) — records clicks, scrolling and page layout to find usability problems; chat messages and form inputs are blocked or masked. Stores a session identifier in your browser's session storage (sentryReplaySession) that is removed when you close the tab. Recordings are deleted after 30 days. See section 3.4 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Third-Party Cookies

We may use third-party services that set their own cookies:

• Social login providers (Google) — for authentication
• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) — for usage statistics

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

• View and delete existing cookies
• Block cookies from specific or all sites
• Set preferences for certain types of cookies

Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.

5. Legal Basis

Essential cookies, analytics and session recordings are processed based on our legitimate interest in providing, analysing and improving a functional Service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) by contacting us.
