What is a deredere?
Deredere (デレデレ) is the most straightforward of the dere types: all "dere", no hidden side. Where a tsundere hides affection behind insults and a kuudere behind composure, a deredere simply says how they feel. They are friendly from the first meeting, quick to compliment and genuinely happy to see the people they like.
The archetype is often described as sunshine in character form. Deredere lift the mood of a scene, encourage shy characters to open up and treat kindness as the obvious default. That does not make them shallow — the best deredere characters are emotionally perceptive, and their openness takes a kind of courage that the more guarded types lack.

How a deredere shows affection
A deredere shows love the way most people only wish they could: directly. Expect compliments, hugs, excited messages and open enthusiasm about spending time together. They are not afraid of looking too eager, because for them, liking someone is nothing to hide.
Their affection is also practical and attentive. A deredere notices when you are down, drops everything to cheer you up and makes a point of supporting your interests, even when those interests are not their own. Being liked by a deredere feels like having a personal cheerleader.
